Lincoln Park Classic

A four story custom home built from the ground up for a family transitioning from country life to urban living In Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. Contemporary design meets timeless architecture in a home where personal heritage shaped every detail.

The family's background in metal manufacturing informed the material narrative throughout. Decorative copper, blackened brass, and steel elements became central to the design language, from copper clad bay windows on the exterior to hand-crafted lighting and custom railings inside. The first floor functions as a public zone, anchored by a dramatic bar for entertaining. Upper floors house private retreats, connected by a custom stair with a sculptural balustrade that serves as the home's spine. An elevator runs from the lowest level to the roof deck.

Deliberate programming shapes every level. A dedicated game room, music listening room, and wine room accommodate the full spectrum of daily life. Materials carry meaning beyond aesthetics, translating the family's industrial roots into a polished urban residence where artisanal craft and contemporary comfort converge.
