Winchester House

A custom residence in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood designed for an active family. Architectural rigor meets everyday resilience.

The design centers on dark stained oak millwork and restrained detailing, punctuated by strategic material moments. Grey Lilac marble sheathes the kitchen island and hood in dramatic veining, while pearlescent plaster wraps the living room fireplace. Surprises emerge throughout, from a jewel box powder room concealed behind wood paneling to a hidden library nook in the primary suite personalized with a framed Gucci scarf.

Every surface and finish was selected to withstand the demands of daily family life without compromising elegance. Winchester House demonstrates that family homes can be both highly functional and deeply beautiful.
